About The Artist

Sophia Frame is an upcoming artist born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Sophia has been drawn to art since she was just three-years-old, and from that young age she scribbled and drew on just about any surface she could find. Filling up sketchbook after sketchbook all through her childhood, she decided to pick up a paint brush after discovering her father's old oil paints at the age of thirteen. Since then, she has been obsessed with expressing herself through painting, and has been selling work since she was fourteen. Currently working as a full-time artist, Sophia is studying art and pursuing a degree in Fine Arts, and her dream is to follow in the footsteps of her grandfather Robert Frame, who was a well-known artist and art professor in Southern California. Inspired by the vivid still lives and landscapes of her Grandfather, as well as artists such as Richard Diebenkorn, Wayne Thiebaud, and many others, Sophia creates oil paintings of still lives, landscapes, and portraits with an emphasis on color, light, and shadow, often with a more painterly style of brushwork.
